Resident Librarian
Ms. Julie Green
Hello! My name is Julie Green and I am Pembroke’s resident librarian. I have a BA in Education and an MLIS degree (Master of Library & Information Science). I am passionate about connecting kids with books and information they love. Students visit me 1-2 times a rotation for Library Media class. In library class we learn about:
- Stories and how they connect us
- Information - how to find it and use it
- Being safe and smart while online and using technology
- Students also check out books each week!
We will meet many new and diverse book characters, access books and information in different ways, think critically, test out some tech tools, get creative and so much more. It’s going to be a great year!
These are a few of my favorite things…
I have a dog named Blue, a sweet tooth and I’m a University of Michigan grad. Two of my favorite picture books are A Big Mooncake for Little Star by Grace Lin and The Barnabus Project by The Fan Brothers. This summer I read bunches of nonfiction books about dinosaurs with my kindergarten son!
